DIRTY PAIR: PROJECT EDEN (1987) is a Japanese animated feature film that stars Kei and Yuri, the sexy crimefighters known as the "Lovely Angels," who work for the intergalactic police agency, WWWA. Their hated nickname is "the Dirty Pair," a reference not to the provocative outfits they wear but to the property damage that frequently results from their actions.
Dirty Pair: Project Eden, known in Japan as Dirty Pair: The Movie (ダーティペア, Daati Pea Gekijou-ban), is a feature-length anime film based on the Dirty Pair anime series, originally released in Japan on November 28, 1986. The movie was originally licensed in North America in 1994 by Streamline Pictures, but was later redubbed and released on DVD on November 9, 2003 by ADV Films.
Project Eden, formerly known as the Dirty Pair Movie, is actually the scond movie release by Sunrise/Studio Nue in the late 1980s after the TV series was cancelled. It proved to be the most popular, however. This version is not to be confused wit he VHS version of the same movie that was produced by Streamline Films in the late 80s.
The film is commonly acknowledged to be better than the anime TV series, Mike Crandol of Anime News Network even states that "Dirty Pair: Project Eden is one of the few glorious exceptions...it's not just bigger and louder, it actually IS better.
