Storyline The Torturer
The gorgeous young actress Ginette auditions for the lead role in the first long feature film of the controversial artist Alex Sherba and she's almost immediately submitted to a long series of harassing questions and indecent proposals. Alex quickly turns out to be a mentally unstable and potentially dangerous man, and when she finds an earring belonging to a missing friend of hers, Ginette even suspects that he might be a killer and starts her very own private investigation. Meanwhile, the torturing of other poor girls cheerfully continues in the dungeon of Alex' parental house.Movie details

Don't confuse this well-written, well-acted movie of substance with the Italian film of the same name. This is NOT a weak plot that serves as an excuse for graphic sex and violence -- it is a thoughtful and insightful indictment of certain elements of our military.
The Torturer is about a military interrogator Rick (Andrew Walker) who has some serious problems with post-traumatic stress disorder. He sees a psychotherapist (Nichelle Nichols) in an attempt to patch up his psyche. This film comes across as a psychothriller, with some unexpected plot twists, that kept my attention on the screen.
An interrogator for the U.S. military returns home with severe post-traumatic stress disorder and begins torturing innocent civilians in this grim indie thriller.
