Directed by Leon Ford. With Ryan Kwanten, Maeve Dermody, Marshall Napier, Patrick Brammall. Griff, office worker by day, superhero by night, has his world turned upside down when he meets Melody, a beautiful young scientist who shares his passion for the impossible.
Griff the Invisible is a strange take on the superhero genre. It's an Australian film that could use a little tweaking, but is still charming in its own right. The twists are fun though.
Griff the Invisible is a 2010 Australian romantic comedy-drama film written and directed by Leon Ford. The story is about Griff (Ryan Kwanten) a socially awkward office worker who spends his days being bullied by his workmates. At night he is Griff the Invisible, a superhero who roams the streets of his neighbourhood, protecting the innocent.
Griff the Invisible is a very touching story that blends the lines between reality and illusion that is definitely worth at least one watch and I would highly recommend it. The story isn't too similar but if you like Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind this movie is definitely worth a chance.
Griff The Invisible PG-13 • Comedy, Drama, Romance • Movie • 2011 "True Blood" star Ryan Kwanten stars as a shy office worker whose heroic secret identity is threatened by a quirky young woman.
Griff (Ryan Kwanten) spends his days working in an office, where he fields customer complaints and dodges Tony (Toby Schmitz), an obnoxious co-worker who enjoys making awkward Griff the butt of his mean-spirited jokes. What Tony doesn't know, though, is that Griff has a rich secret life as an invisible crime-fighter who patrols the city defending the innocent.
Griff the Invisible is more about the clash between a persons fantasy world and the real world around him than being a real-life super-hero film similar to Defendor. It starts out like a vigilante film but as the film progresses it becomes clear that most of the super hero things happening around Griff only exists in his fantasy world.
Griff is invisible to the world until he meets his brother's new girlfriend, Melody who turns Griff's life upside down with her eccentricities that only match his own. Griff the Invisible is a very touching story that blends the lines between reality and illusion that is definitely worth at least one watch and I would highly recommend it.
